Mission

Arch. Konstantin Dimov, arch. Chavdara Nikolova, arch. Nevena Valcheva – the Re-animatori – are engaged in the development of urban innovations through applying design tools in the city of Varna and are convinced that the public dialogue is a key prerequisite for improving the quality of the environment at the level of urban planning and architectural design, tailored to the needs of its users. Within three years, the architects have implemented 5 initiatives aimed to provoke public awareness and sense for shared responsibility to the urban environment in order to achieve a sustainable change in the city.

Their first project in 2017 “Re-animate the Square“ subsequently gave the name of the foundation. The result was an adaptation of the existing environment in an open-air scene which Varna citizens recognized as a place for creative meetings and artistic events. “Get captured by Talyana” is another Re-animatori’s project for revitalization of the immovable cultural heritage where architects from Bulgaria and Romania created four urban strategies for a part of the historic center of Varna.Public debates on urban development named “Architecture meetings” followed in 2018. In 2019 Re-animatori participated in “City Walk” Project for development of strategies aimed at enhancing the ecological mobility by non-motorized transport and the walkability in Varna.
